Could you give me some information about transportation in Okinawa?
The public transportation options available on the main island are local buses, monorails, taxis and rental cars. Monorails are convenient for getting around Naha. Please rest assured as major tourist areas can be reached via local bus.
Do disability discounts apply for public transportation?
Unfortunately, only disability certificates issued in Japan are accepted for disability discounts on local buses or monorails.
Can I bring in my bicycle onto public transportation?
Folding bikes are allowed on local buses. They can also be brought on monorails as long as you have it in a case. *Please note that you may be asked to refrain from boarding if the bus is crowded.
Can Suica cards be used in Okinawa?
Suica cards can be used for monorails, certain convenience stores, and commercial facilities.
When is typhoon season?
